Networked Toolbox A community of practice platform for ActionAid users around the world. Client: ActionAid Denmark Website: networkedtoolbox.com Services: Product Ownership, User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Web Design Brief Working at Socialsquare, I was part of the team that was set to help out ActionAid Denmark building a digital platform to support their present community of practitioners around the world. I acted specifically as a coach for the client’s Product Owner to assist him in planning the product development, writing the backlog user stories and conducting user involvement. Furthermore, I was in charge of the user experience and user interface design. To involve the users of the platform we formed a test panel consisting of ActionAid members from Africa, The Middle East, and Asia. Here, I was in charge of the user involvement as we conducted several interviews and prototype testings remotely with Skype and InVision. It was really inspiring to experience how easily you can gather user input from people all around the world through technology and feel their joy of discovering new technological possibilities. At the same time, we also encountered the limitations of the technology in the third world countries. Both of those were great learning insights to bring into the solution.
