Services: User Experience, User Interface Easy Access to the Library Working with Socialsquare, we pitched in on a project for Danskernes Digitale Bibliotek (The Danish Digital Library). As part of the offer, I delivered a UI and UX improvements for the proposed app under the working title “Biblioteksapp”. The app concept was created to make it easier for the library users to find, reserve, pick up and renew the works of your local library. That being books, movies, cd’s, etc. The app was set to be used throughout Denmark and the library database of works would differ from one library district to another. Preferred Library The user sets a preferred library, which defines the works in the database. Search The user can search for works in their preferred library. Reserve It is possible to reserve specific works to be picked up at your preferred library. Overviews The user gets a great overview of both work reservations and borrowings. Notifications When one of the user's borrowings is about to expire, the user gets a reminding notification. Renew The user can renew borrowings directly in the app. News & Events The app displays news and events connected to the preferred library. Inspiration Every work in the database has featured or related content displayed. This also helps the user navigate through the database.
